.This ancient building in the centre of Chamonix preserves the local photographic archives. It hosts several exhibitions each year.

Opening times

  • Open Thursday to Sunday:  2pm to 5:30pm except on Sunday : opening at 2:30pm
  • School holidays: 10:30am - noon / 2pm - 5:30pm
  • July and August: 10am - 1pm / 2pm - 6pm
  • Closed January 1, May 1 and December 25
  • Exceptional closure on Sunday April 21

Chamonix 1924 : invention of the Winter Olympics Games

From December 16, 2023 to March 15, 2025

As part of the centenary of the First Olympic Winter Games, this exhibition offers you an in-depth look at the organization and progress of this event. Find out how Chamonix-Mont-Blanc participated in the invention of the Winter Olympic Games!

  • Museum pass: €15  Annual pass with unlimited entry to the museum network of the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc valley
